“The harvest is all around us.” This is the opening statement from October's Friends of Stonecroft introducing the monthly Project for Stonecroft Ministries. This month's focus is on reaching out to your neighbors and making a friend. Our annual Holiday Boutique and Brunch fit right into the theme. We had an excellent turn out with many First Time guests and enthusiastic attendees. Early shopping and a huge variety of handmade items and baked goods provided an excellent opportunity to stock up on stocking stuffers, specialty gifts and treats for the family. Our Silent Auction added another level of fun and incredible shopping bargains! The items provided were absolutely phenomenal and those who took advantage of the Auction received amazing gifts! Thank you to ALL of the Ladies who participated and provided items to sell and who supported Stonecroft by their purchases. A special thanks to Daisy and Jim Brinkin who work year round to make this event a success and to Phyllis Chavez who spearheaded the Silent Auction and gathered amazing items to benefit Stonecroft Ministries.
We enjoyed the blending of voices by our Men's Trio, Doug, Bill and Charles. Paula Buttram accompanied the trio and set the mood for our speaker's message.
Our speaker is a long time friend of Stonecroft and her message touched our hearts. Valerie Crockett's background in the Aerospace Industry and her personal tragedy that changed the course of her life and strengthened her faith are a powerful testimony of how Jesus touches a life. Valerie volunteers as a facilitator for The Children's Grief Center of NM and The Grief Resource Center. If you are interested in resources, please let us know at ABQCWC by using the contact form.
